Convergent Science is hiring: Marketing Writer in Madison

Are you an excellent writer? Are you adept at turning verbose and scientifically complex ideas

into compelling stories and easy-to-understand marketing copy? Are you passionate about

science, engineering, and computer software?

If you answered “yes” to the questions above, you might be a great addition to the Convergent Science Marketing Writing team. Our company develops, sells, and supports a leading computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software used by design engineers in a variety of industries: automotive, aerospace, marine, energy, and more.

We’re looking for a marketing writer who can help us communicate with clients and potential clients. This writer will create clear, compelling, and technically accurate marketing copy for print and digital media (including web, social media, email, press releases, blogs, and sell sheets). You will work closely with the Marketing team, and you should be comfortable talking to subject matter experts across the company.

This job posting is for a full-time, in-person position at our headquarters in Madison, Wisconsin.

Requirements

● Bachelor’s degree in a writing-intensive STEM or creative field

● Meticulous and efficient writer

● Ability to adapt style and message depending on audience and medium

● Willingness and ability to learn basic technical information about our CFD software

● Basic knowledge of marketing writing, social media, and SEO

● Willingness and ability to increase knowledge of marketing-related topics

● Interest or experience in engineering, math, science, or technical field +

● Detail-oriented
