Ferrous Processing and Trading (FPT), a recognized industry leader in providing high-quality scrap metal to the automotive, appliance, manufacturing, and other markets has an immediate opening for a Data Entry Clerk. The Data Entry Clerk will be responsible for entering data related to scrap loads and performing other related duties.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Retrieves source files and work from the data center each day
• Verifies and logs the receipts of data and obtains any data that is missing
• Uses data entry equipment to record assigned data
• Resolves minor processing problems; seeks assistance from a supervisor or other appropriate staff for issues beyond immediate expertise
• Identify and correct data entry errors using appropriate quality control methods
• Reviews incoming paperwork for inconsistencies between supplier and customer
• Manages, organizes, and files source documents to ensure timely payments
• Provides timely and accurate reporting to customers on monthly transactions
• Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED
• Proficient in using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Excellent and precise data entry and typing skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Good organizational skills
