
Personal Insurance Sales Advisor (Vermont) Future Opportunity

Job Summary The Personal Risk Client Executive/Sales Advisor is P&C licensed, experienced in Personal Insurance, with proven sales skills. The role advises and delivers personal insurance products tailored to prospective insured clients, using leads from non‑solicited personal new business opportunities and referrals. The process is a single‑point‑of‑contact to ensure efficiency and create an educated buying experience. Strong computer, verbal, written, electronic communication skills are required, as well as teamwork and relationship building with agency partners, company leadership, and staff.
Key Responsibilities
Understand various carrier appetites and carrier websites
Work closely with carrier underwriters to determine risk placement
Utilize agency management system, rating system, and carrier websites to provide accurate, timely quotes
Execute policy correspondence delivery per agency guidelines and procedures
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co‑workers, supervisors, and carrier representatives
Assist with special projects as assigned by management
Qualifications
Experience in P&C personal lines client‑facing sales, along with knowledge of coverage needs
Ability to work independently and anticipate client and team needs
Effective time‑management and decision‑making skills
Strong leadership and diligent follow‑through skills
Ability to negotiate and express ideas clearly in written and oral communications
Proficiency in MS Office suite, CRM – EPIC preferred, MS Teams
Influential presentation and public‑speaking abilities
Comprehensive experience with the New England/Northeast P&C markets
Self‑confident to make sound independent decisions
Ability to successfully interact with a variety of people and personalities
Education and Experience
A bachelor’s degree preferred. High school diploma or GED required with additional learning or certifications.
More than 3 years of directly related industry sales and service experience.
Licenses and Certifications
Property & Casualty Broker’s license required upon hire
CPCU, CPRIA, CAPI, or other P&C designation preferred
Benefits Competitive base salary of $50,000 – $65,000, with 40% commission on new business, PTO, paid holidays, 401(k) with match, exclusive discount programs, health and wellness programs, and more. Compensation includes 40% commission on new business and is determined by experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required, scope of the position, and geographic location.
