About the Role As a Biologics Account Manager, you will be responsible for exceeding your sales quota and growing the Sports Medicine Biologics business within your territory. You will be a product consultant in the Sports Medicine Biologics portfolio specializing in both Biologics and Sports Medicine soft tissue injury repair.
Responsibilities
Convert physicians/accounts by making sales calls and providing clinical case coverage in the operating room while also training surgeons on Smith+Naphew products through education/programs.
Collaborate with key orthopedic surgeons, hospital and OR staff, administrators, and clinicians to increase awareness and adoption of products including the Sports Medicine Biologics product portfolio.
Work cross‑divisionally to develop an effective territory business plan to generate revenue and meet/exceed your quota.
Provide first‑class technical support ensuring product availability meets customer and patient needs.
Partner with all Smith+Naphew Reconstruction and Sports Medicine counterparts in the region to discover sales opportunities.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Minimum 6 years direct sales experience with 4 years in the medical device industry preferred.
Experience selling technology and/or capital products to multiple call points in the hospital, including surgeons, nursing, administration, facilities, bio‑med and information systems.
Proven track record of selling/converting business at the surgeon or hospital level.
Proven success in achieving quota year over year.
Experience leading/mentoring team members and new sales representatives.
Strong technical expertise in Biologics and Sports Medicine and ability to build positive relationships.
Travel Requirements Within designated sales territory, with 1–3 overnights a week depending on geography. Infrequent national travel for events and conferences.
Credentials and Compliance All field sales professionals required to gain entry into healthcare facilities must successfully complete the credentialing process and comply with the requirements of those facilities, including adherence to any established vaccine protocols.
