Responsibilities

Manage a designated Commercial loan portfolio, including portfolio management and credit underwriting, ensuring compliance with bank and regulatory guidelines.

Maintain quality underwriting and portfolio management metrics within the portfolio under purview.

Assist Commercial Relationship Managers in managing client relationships while maintaining a high degree of creditability; mentor junior team members.

Work on loans/portfolios of varying complexity with oversight as appropriate.

Underwrite, monitor, and analyze the assigned Commercial portfolio; identify risks in a timely manner with high accuracy and ensure alignment with risk appetite and regulatory standards.

Lead complex transactions including syndications, multi-level capital structures, and/or Middle Market relationships; communicate clearly to solve problems and make credit, risk, and policy recommendations.

Monitor portfolio tolerances and KPIs/KRIs; optimize customer relationships in coordination with Relationship Managers.

Ensure sustained satisfactory reviews by regulators, internal/external auditors, and loan review; document depth of underwriting, policy exceptions, and stress analysis.

Collaborate on group-wide process improvements; mentor junior Underwriting Portfolio Managers.

Present proposed credit actions in written analyses and, when necessary, verbally to committees or meetings.

Performs other related duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Education:

BA or BS

Experience:

3 years of job-related experience

Skills:

Excellent project management; excellent written and verbal communication; strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal abilities; excellent customer service; proficiency with personal computers and job-related software (MS Word – Basic, MS Excel – Intermediate, MS PowerPoint – Basic); knowledge of a wide range of commercial lending (C&I & Cap markets), underwriting practices, and banking practices; knowledge of commercial banking policies, procedures, and government regulations

Compensation and Benefits $77,818.00 - $129,688.00
