Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role in McAlester, OK, for a Compliance Specialist.
Research and analyze applicable laws, regulations, and industry best practices for healthcare to ensure compliance.
Provide advice and guidance to management on compliance matters.
Stay current on changes in laws, regulations, and industry best practices and proactively communicate changes to the organization.
Create, maintain, and update compliance policies and procedures.
Monitor the organization’s activities to ensure compliance.
Create and deliver compliance training to staff.
Investigate and respond to compliance-related questions and complaints.
Collaborate with the team to ensure the Emergency Management Program is up to date, including training team members, scheduling and overseeing yearly drills and maintaining the paperwork involved.
Monitor HIPAA training and compliance company wide, updating the program as necessary.
Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
5+ years of experience in a compliance-related role.
Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
