
Commercial Real Estate Portfolio Manager

Our client, a well established regional bank in the Dallas‑Fort Worth Metroplex, is seeking a Commercial Real Estate Portfolio Manager. This person will be responsible for the underwriting, management, and monitoring of the commercial real estate portfolio. They will support the commercial loan and deposit portfolio of one or more Relationship Managers providing quality underwriting, sound portfolio management and superior client service.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze financial statements and credit data to assess borrower risk for new, renewal, and existing loans
Prepare complete commercial loan packages, including credit memos, risk assessments, and recommendations
Conduct industry research and advanced credit analysis to support underwriting decisions
Manage loans through the approval process, ensuring proper structure and compliance with bank policies
Monitor and service loan portfolios, including covenant tracking, annual reviews, risk grading, and issue escalation
Ensure full regulatory and documentation compliance while partnering with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders
Qualifications
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word with strong organizational and multitasking abilities
High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure
Strong communication and active listening skills, with a collaborative and solutions-oriented approach
Professional, patient, and team-oriented mindset with a focus on client and colleague support
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience); banking school a plus
4–6 years of commercial banking/credit experience, including underwriting and portfolio management; solid knowledge of loan structuring, documentation, and lending regulations
