
Volunteer Engagement Specialist

Position Summary The Volunteer Engagement Specialist manages the day-to-day coordination of volunteers across construction sites, ReStores, and community events. This role ensures volunteers are effectively scheduled, supported, and engaged in meaningful work that advances our mission.
Coordinate daily volunteer activities across construction and ReStore locations
Schedule, assign, and communicate with individual and group volunteers
Match volunteers to opportunities based on skills and availability
Manage volunteer data and scheduling through Galaxy Digital
Program Management
Lead volunteer programs including Crew Leaders, community service, and weekday crews
Coordinate volunteer participation in special programs and events
Support volunteer recognition and appreciation efforts
Cross‑Functional Support
Partner with construction and ReStore teams to align volunteer needs
Attend weekly meetings to support planning and communication
Assist with home dedications and community engagement events
Outreach & Engagement
Support outreach efforts, tabling, and public speaking opportunities
Assist in recruiting volunteers for programs and events
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
Preferred:
2+ years of volunteer coordination, nonprofit, or event experience
Experience working with databases or scheduling systems
Other Requirements
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
