Associate, DashMart - Regulatory Strategy & Operations

DoorDash, Washington, District of Columbia, United States

About the Role In this role, you will support the execution of regulatory workflows that enable growth while minimizing risk, cost, and timelines. You will identify and track regulatory and community-related issues across our site portfolio, and partner cross‑functionally with Operations, Real Estate, Legal, Construction, Public Policy, and Category Management teams to support site launches and ongoing operations. You will analyze data, support audits, and build processes that improve how we identify, track, and resolve issues across markets.

Responsibilities

Build and improve processes that support regulatory operations across DashMart, contributing to more efficient and predictable site launches and operations.

Support the development of strategies that address regulatory and community‑related challenges across markets.

Translate strategies into operational improvements and pilots, testing new approaches to improve execution.

Assess operational performance, identify trends and issues, and use data to inform decisions and prioritize improvements.

Collaborate with a cross‑functional team, including local operations, construction, real estate, vendor and category management, and warehouse design teams.

Qualifications

1–3 years of professional experience in a fast‑paced, high‑performance environment with exposure to local government or city planning processes; familiarity with zoning, permitting, or entitlements is preferred.

Completed a BS/BA Degree, preferably in Urban Planning, Public Policy, Environmental Policy, Real Estate Development, or a related discipline.

Strong problem‑solving skills, able to approach problems from first principles and resist “this is how it’s always been done” thinking.

Comfort operating at both high‑level strategic and low‑level detailed levels, and thriving in ambiguous, startup‑style environments.

Analytical: comfortable pulling data in SQL or modeling in Excel, and letting data drive decisions.

Ability to get in the weeds when necessary but also to envision long‑term impact and inspire a team.

A proactive, inclusive mindset that embraces diversity and fosters an environment where all voices can be heard.

Compensation Salary range: $74,800—$110,000 USD (localization based on work location).
