We are in search of a Loan Processor I or II (internally known as Loan Specialist) to join our California Lending and Insurance department in Yuba City. This full‑time position reports to the Director, Operations and is accountable for in‑office credit‑related processing, loan file management, accounting and customer account maintenance.
Compensation Information Level I: Typical starting range $44,200 – $57,500. Full base salary range $44,200 – $64,200. Annual performance‑based incentive target is 6% of base.
Level II: Typical starting range $48,400 – $64,500. Full base salary range $48,400 – $72,600. Annual performance‑based incentive target is 6% of base.
Essential Duties
Support lending staff in the management of customer relationships by processing transactions, resolving account/customer issues, and providing administrative support.
Support lenders and customers in their credit requests by completing loan packages, maintaining accurate loan file documentation, preparing reports and ordering loan and lease documents.
Support loan accounting function for the branch including wire transfers, automatic clearing house (ACH) payments, and data tracking.
Provide support to meet customer needs and enhance the customer experience.
Manage information flow among loan officers, credit analysts, documentation staff, accounting staff, appraisal teams, title companies, and customers.
Complete accurate and compliant work, with attention to numbers, calculations, details, and deadlines.
Maintain a notary public license.
Perform all duties and maintain all standards in accordance with company policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Other duties as assigned.
Travel Requirements
AgWest employees may occasionally be asked to travel for all‑staff or team meetings not included in the standard travel requirements for the role.
Minimum Qualifications
Generally, requires one or more years of related customer service or financial support experience.
Ability to input and maintain accurate data across multiple systems while ensuring data integrity and compliance.
Solid interpersonal, collaboration, communication, team building, problem solving, analytical, organizational and time‑management skills.
Build relationships with customers (via in‑person, inbound/outbound calls) and branch staff (via open communication, collaboration and teamwork).
Proven ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
Solid computer skills including MS Office applications.
Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy with frequent customer contact via mail, email, phone, and walk‑ins.
Ability to read, write and present general business information.
Preferred Qualifications
Agricultural background and/or general knowledge of agricultural practices.
