The Lead Pricing Professional - Commercial & Pricing Tools is responsible for enabling scalable, data‑driven commercial execution through ownership and continuous improvement of pricing and quoting platforms, including PROS pricing systems and CPQ tools. This role supports the Aerospace commercial organization by ensuring pricing tools, quoting workflows, and approval processes enable consistent pricing execution, faster deal cycles, and improved margin performance. The position partners with Sales, Pricing Operations, Price Desk, IT, and Commercial Excellence teams to optimize commercial tools and drive adoption across the global sales organization.
Responsibilities
Serve as the business owner for pricing and quoting platforms, including PROS and CPQ systems, ensuring tools support commercial strategy and pricing governance.
Configure and maintain pricing logic, approval workflows, discount thresholds, and quoting rules within PROS and CPQ platforms.
Partner with IT and vendors to manage system enhancements, integrations, upgrades, and issue resolution.
Enable sellers and pricing teams with automated pricing guidance, quoting workflows, and deal approval processes.
Improve sales productivity by reducing manual pricing and quoting activities.
Work with Analytics colleagues to develop dashboards and reporting to monitor pricing compliance, discounting trends, and quoting cycle times.
Support development of advanced pricing analytics and AI‑driven pricing recommendations.
Partner with Pricing COE, Sales Operations, Finance, and IT to align commercial tools with pricing strategy and sales processes.
Support rollout of new commercial capabilities, pricing models, and quoting automation initiatives.
Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and IT for pricing and CPQ systems.
Identify opportunities to simplify pricing workflows, automate approvals, and enhance tool usability.
Drive adoption of pricing and CPQ tools through training, documentation, and user support.
Support the commercial systems roadmap and future AI‑enabled pricing initiatives.
Qualifications
7+ years of experience in pricing, sales operations, commercial analytics, or commercial systems.
Experience with pricing platforms (PROS, Vendavo, or similar) and CPQ systems.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with experience in pricing or commercial performance analysis.
Experience working with CRM, ERP, or quoting tools.
Strong stakeholder engagement and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
Candidate must be a U.S. person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or protected status under asylum or refugee status).
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
Master’s degree or advanced certification is a plus.
Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Strong business acumen and insight of market dynamics.
