Responsibilities
Adhere to Johnson Controls Security policies, procedures, products, programs, and services
Create new market share by selling Johnson Controls Security products and services to new local commercial customers
Sell additional products and services to existing accounts and identify new opportunities
Renew existing customer agreements and manage resale opportunities within your territory
Identify prospects using creative lead‑generation techniques and maintain strong relationships with existing customers
Establish call plans and follow‑up strategies independently, applying effective time and territory management
Maintain in‑depth knowledge of our products/services and customer needs through training and research
Obtain referrals and build relationships with Centers of Influence
Process work orders and complete all paperwork accurately and on time
Conduct post‑installation follow‑up to ensure commitments were met and affirm customer satisfaction
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills with ability to engage senior‑level executives
Ability to work a full‑time schedule
Available for local travel
Preferred Qualifications
College degree
Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a successful commercial sales representative in security, IT, or technology sales, with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding quotas
Salary Range & Benefits HIRING SALARY RANGE: $46k–$74k (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) This role also offers a competitive Sales Incentive Plan that will take into account volume and margin on a project, quarterly, and annual basis.
