Principal, Business Lending Operations & Strategy
Intuit, Mountain View, CA, United States
Overview
Intuit’s Lending businesses sit at the heart of our Services Segment. Our Lending offerings help small businesses access capital, manage spend, and improve cash flow — all within the QuickBooks platform. As we scale Lending, we need a Strategy & Biz Ops Principal who can drive clarity, operational rigor, and forward‑looking strategy in one of the company’s fastest‑growing areas. This role is not a back‑office strategist; you will run the operating system, shape the multi‑year strategy, and put points on the board by unblocking the funnel, accelerating execution, and ensuring the business moves with discipline and speed. You will report directly to the Head of Lending for the Services Segment and, as a core member of the Lending Business, partner closely with Product, Risk, Marketing, Finance, Data Analytics, Sales, Partnerships, and the Lending & Business Credit Card leadership teams.
Responsibilities
Run the operating system for Lending: own the end‑to‑end operating cadence (MBRs, priority reviews, dashboards, performance insights, and readiness tracking), deliver a clear narrative of business performance, risks, and opportunities, identify execution gaps and surface high‑leverage actions to accelerate acquisition, activation, and usage of our Lending products, partner with Product, Credit Risk, and Marketing to resolve funnel frictions and ensure the business is meeting plan, and instill accountability and operational rigor across the org.
Shape the multi‑year strategy: build a cohesive long‑term strategy for Lending (including customer segmentation, competitive landscape, product evolution, and “better together” plays), develop frameworks and choices that clarify tradeoffs for senior leadership, create clarity across a complex, cross‑functional business, translate complexity into actionable insights, anticipate where alignment will break down and proactively drive resolution, partner deeply with Lending leadership and work hand‑in‑glove with Product leaders, Risk, and Biz Ops, elevate the rigor of the organization, build repeatable systems for diagnosing performance and driving disciplined execution, and ensure decisions are data‑backed, high‑trust, and move the business forward.
Qualifications Experience
10+ years in strategy & business operations, product strategy, consulting or operating roles in high‑growth technology environments. Consulting experience helpful but not required. SaaS or fintech experience preferred; role requires rapid mastery of lending and credit concepts.
Leadership & Operating Skillset
Proven ability to run an operating system: drive a cadence, create clarity, instill accountability, and manage a portfolio of initiatives.
Demonstrated experience moving a business from strategy → action → results.
Comfortable operating with urgency, ambiguity, and evolving business needs.
Strategic & Analytical Strength
Strong structured problem‑solving, ability to define choices, and comfort navigating multi‑stakeholder complexity.
Ability to distill insights from imperfect data and tell a compelling story.
Execution & Ownership
Track record of putting points on the board — identifying opportunities, driving alignment, resolving blockers, and landing outcomes.
Extreme ownership mindset; moves naturally between long‑term thinking and short‑term unblock.
Communication
Executive‑level written and verbal communication skills; able to simplify complexity and influence at scale.
