
Business Development Manager - Apparel Trims

Please note this role requires onsite work in Portland.
We are currently hiring on behalf of a market leading apparel trims supplier, with a view of expanding its business exposures to major fashion brands across Oregon. The role would suit someone that possesses a proven track record in handling key accounts and customers within the apparel trims and materials industry.
Job Responsibilities
Market & Strategy: Conduct market and competitor analysis to assist in formulating the company's annual strategic goals. Channel Development: Execute strategies for expanding sales channels specifically targeting brand clients. Client Engagement: Initiate contact with clients, understand the standards and requirements of brand clients, and work to secure brand nomination or preferred supplier status. Client Information Management: Build and maintain customer development profiles and a client database; ensure a deep understanding of client needs. Sales Growth & Client Management: Set sales growth targets and strategies for brand clients for upcoming periods; conduct regular client visits and communication to effectively manage relationships. Requirements
Minimum 5 years of business development or puchase experience in the apparel trims/accessories industry. Possessing extensive networks with senior stakeholders and purchasing departments of major fashion labels. Ability to understand and stay current with apparel industry trends. Based in or within commuting distance of Portland. What we offer
