Opportunity
Support the US financial performance management (FPM) team in performing financial performance analysis and strategic analysis for RBC's US businesses (management view) such as US Capital Markets, CNB, Wealth Management and RBC Bank.
Coordinate and collaborate on the process for Quarterly Business Review (QBR) for RBC US Region for US CEO Update to RBC CEO.
Support the FPM processes including management reporting, annual operating plan/5‑Year Outlook, strategic projects and develop financial performance analytics by collecting and analyzing data from various systems/platforms and presenting the summary to management.
Support business advisory responsibilities through business engagement, strategic analytics and projects.
Responsibilities
Support financial performance analysis (US GAAP) and strategic projects for US legal entities (including RIHC, CUSO, and CMLLC) and integration of RBC's management reporting framework/system into RBC's Combined US Operations (CUSO) and the Intermediate Holding Company (IHC).
Support the production of the annual business plan/5‑year outlook/quarterly forecasts and presenting the regional view US CFO/senior management.
Maintain and enhance US Finance reporting capabilities through automation, EPM enhancements, and development of new analytics.
Develop financial performance analytics for quarterly RIHC Board meetings and partner with various platform finance teams for commentary.
Provide support to Senior Managers on requests that may range from ad hoc projects, management reporting, to data mining.
Provide legal entity financials based on regulatory requests and exams.
Aide in translating business strategy into the financial impact, and expected results, which include identifying financial risks and opportunities.
Support senior business leaders with financial insights including reviewing financial results, peer comparable, what‑if analysis with respect to new initiatives and/or new businesses, and financial impacts of regional business strategies.
Partner with Financial Control teams for IHC and CM LLC goodwill impairment analysis by providing critical inputs such as legal entity earnings forecasts.
Support legal entity forecasting process (US GAAP and IFRS) to provide critical inputs to US and Head Office Tax teams for tax planning.
Support Capital Markets financial performance analysis (management view) and provide the DFR updates to US CFO.
Qualifications Must have
3‑5 years of relevant work experience
Degree in Accounting/Finance
Broad comprehension of Capital Markets and Financial Services Industry
Experience using IBM Cognos/TM1
Demonstrated advanced expertise in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Advanced analytical skills and experience
Broad understanding of U.S. regulatory environment including FBOs and IHCs
Strong presentational and public speaking activities
Nice‑to‑have
Strategic business sense and organizational awareness
Independent and critical thinker
Effective communication & comfort level interacting with senior executives on a regular basis

The good‑faith expected salary range for the above position is $85,000 - $145,000 depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate's experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs. This salary range does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company‑matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time‑off plan.
