
Sales Engineer

We’re looking for an experienced Sales Engineer who thrives at the intersection of technical expertise, relationship building, and strategic sales.
If you have a strong background in solar sales, consultative selling, and account management, this is an exciting opportunity to help clients identify and implement customized renewable energy solutions while driving meaningful business growth.
This role is ideal for someone who is both client-focused and technically confident—someone who can build trust, uncover needs, present tailored solutions, and help move projects from opportunity to execution.
What You’ll Do
Drive revenue growth by developing and managing opportunities within your assigned territory
Build strong relationships with new and existing clients across commercial and nonprofit markets
Conduct outreach, follow up on leads, and generate new business opportunities
Perform customer site visits to assess needs and gather project requirements
Develop and present customized proposals for renewable energy systems, services, and components
Serve as a key liaison between clients, internal teams, and external partners throughout the sales and implementation process
Represent the organization at trade shows, workshops, and industry events
Provide sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and market feedback to leadership
Help ensure customer expectations are met—and exceeded—throughout the project lifecycle
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required; Electrical Engineering strongly preferred
10+ years of sales and account management experience
Previous experience in solar sales and/or renewable energy solutions strongly preferred
Strong knowledge of solar and wind systems, site requirements, and system design considerations
Familiarity with building electrical systems, HVAC systems, sustainable building design, and applicable industry codes
Proven success meeting or exceeding sales goals and building long-term customer relationships
Ability to confidently communicate technical solutions and explain business value / ROI to clients
Strong presentation, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills
Professional presence with strong business acumen and a collaborative mindset
