Role Description Food Lion is seeking a full-time Produce Manager for an on-site role based in Raleigh, NC. The Produce Manager will oversee the daily operations of the produce department, ensuring freshness and product availability to meet customer needs. Responsibilities include managing inventory and ordering, maintaining food safety and quality standards, training and supervising associates, and delivering excellent customer service to enhance the shopping experience. Effective coordination with team members is essential to maintain a clean, organized, and attractive produce section.
Qualifications
Strong Customer Service and Communication skills to assist customers and effectively lead a team
Proficiency in Inventory Control and Inventory Management to ensure product availability and minimize waste
Knowledge of Food Safety practices to maintain compliance with health and safety regulations
Leadership and organizational skills to manage staff and department operations effectively
Prior experience in retail or produce department management is preferred
High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in food safety or management are advantageous
Ability to work in a fast-paced, physical environment and lift moderate to heavy items as needed
