Overview In this role, responsibilities will include maintaining and developing relationships with existing dealerships within assigned markets, providing training on Patelco’s loan program, soliciting contracts for qualified applicants and assisting in resolving funding delays. This position will build business by onboarding new dealerships and demonstrating value to dealer management and divisions, which requires thorough knowledge of program capabilities and the auto finance industry. The successful candidate must have the ability to meet sales goals and travel demands. This position will be responsible for growth in the respective market. This role will be based out of our Dublin headquarters and will include travel throughout the Sacramento and Central Valley area.
Responsibilities
Manage existing relationships, educate, and develop dealerships new to the program
Compiles lists of prospective dealerships and schedules visits to stimulate interest
Works with the Indirect teams to meet established volume objectives
Works with the Indirect Underwrites and Funders to assist dealer in resolving problems with contracts received and any escalated problems
Conducts training on Patelco Credit Union’s loan guidelines with dealership’s finance and sales manager to effectively maximize production
Communicates frequently with Director, Indirect Lending regarding volume and areas of concern
Contributing member for Dealer Oversight Committee; monitor and report dealer performance, and recommend appropriate action
Analyze data submission trends by dealer to identify performance gaps, emerging opportunities, and areas for growth.
Prepares log of dealer visits and submits expense reports within deadlines
Stay abreast of competitive intelligence, understanding competitor programs’ strengths and weaknesses, product effectiveness and soliciting dealer customer feedback
Required to meet sales goals and travel demands; 80+% travel required
Develop potential partnerships for future car sale events and provide on-site support during car sales
Participate in networking opportunities that involve dealerships
Leverage data insights to develop targeted outreach strategies that increase funded volume and penetration
Provide regular performance reporting and recommendation to Lending and management teams to support strategic planning and decisions
Perform other tasks as assigned
Qualifications
Five to seven years successful experience as a dealer Relationship Representative for an indirect auto lender
College degree in marketing, sales or business is preferred, and/or 2+ years of automotive sales and finance experience
Must have proper vehicle and CA driver’s license required
Retail automotive experience, preferably in finance
Knowledge of auto buying programs, benefits, and features
High School diploma required
Target Base Pay $75,912 - $89,315/ yr
