V2X is seeking a technically adept Instructional Systems Designer to support instructional systems design and analysis efforts. Due to the classified nature of the program, all work must be completed on-site in Reston, VA.
Responsibilities
The Instructional Systems Designer shall support instructional systems design and analysis efforts. Instructional systems analysis involves the implementation of and adherence to a systematic design process for effective and efficient learning. The Candidate shall perform the following work, listed in the Major Job Activities below.
Conduct analyses to identify and validate training requirements as identified in the Statement of Work (SOW) and document results of analyses.
Define and analyze learning objectives to refine learning outcomes.
Design and conduct analyses in support of Human Systems Integration (HSI) to include selecting methodology, designing instruments, collecting, and analyzing data; and reporting results.
Apply validated research to support learning decisions.
Design, develop, and implement instruction in a systematic manner. Provide input on selecting instructional media, materials, and equipment to meet learning objectives.
Plan and accomplish production of instructional materials.
Design, develop, and implement prototype and final courseware for interactive multi‑media, computer‑based, web‑based, and distributed learning presentations.
Evaluate training development and training effectiveness using formative and summative evaluation techniques.
Use appropriate industry and Government standards and specifications.
Conduct Quality Assurance (QA) checks and reviews of course materials, reports, and other deliverables prior to delivery to the customer.
Provide Products/Documents/Reports as requested by the PM.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications
Education/Experience
Senior level
BA/BS in any discipline
Candidate must have four or more years of experience in DoD training, preferably Navy training.
Expert in the use of Adobe Captivate software
Must have a Secret security clearance
Must be a US Citizen
Desired Qualifications
Previous experience designing scenarios and/or simulations and have a firm grasp of the concepts of immersion and engagement.
Adult learning instructional design and development
Expert in the use of Microsoft products – Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Possesses both analytical and interpersonal skills.
Good problem solving, and organizational skills/techniques.
English language skills to communicate with the customer.
Strong communicator must be able to communicate clearly both in writing and orally.
Customer service oriented, detail focused, proactive behavior, multi‑task capability.
Microsoft Office Suite: Candidate must be an experienced Technical Writer using Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

USD $115,000.00 – $125,000.00 (salary range subject to change)
