Position Description & Qualifications The purpose of this position is to provide support to the Joint Knowledge Online (JKO) Strategic Communications media platforms such as websites, newsletters and MS 365 applications. Perform website management and content update in coordination with JKO government leadership, and JST communications lead to meet JKO and Joint Staff public dissemination criteria.

This position is contingent upon your ability to obtain, transfer, and maintain a DoW Secret security clearance post-employment.

Job Responsibilities As a Graphic Designer / Marketing Coordinator, specific job tasks include: content creation, required approval, and timely posting; testing and improving the design of the website; establishing design guidelines and best practices for JKO; maintaining the content and appearance of website(s) by enforcing content standards; designing visual imagery for website(s) and ensuring that they are in line with branding guidelines; working with different content management systems. A successful candidate will be creative and open to new ideas, and both adaptable and willing to learn new techniques.

Key Responsibilities

Proficient in graphic design software including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and other similar visual design tools.

Understand content management systems.

Conceptualize creative ideas with clients.

Have excellent visual design and written communication skills.

Qualifications and Requirements

The ability to obtain and maintain a DoW Secret security clearance.

Bachelor’s degree in communications, graphic/web design, or a related field.

2 years’ experience; government experience is a plus.

Experience with DoW enterprise communications and social media platforms.

Experience with AI content generation.

Knowledge of information security, PII, 508 compliance, Copyright laws. Expect 508 certification within 6 months.

Strong interpersonal communication skills, with excellent follow-up and organizational skills.

UI and UX (user interface and user experience) design experience is a plus.

Experience using MS SharePoint. Experience as a Site Owner is a plus.

Experience with AFPIMS is a plus.

Experience with front-end development and web programming languages such as HTML and CSS, jQuery, and JavaScript.

Ability to travel both in and outside CONUS may be required (10%).
