Opportunity The Paid Social Marketing Sr. Specialist sits within the Digital Marketing In-House Agency team at Ally. The role focuses on executing and optimizing paid social campaigns across multiple channels, including Facebook/Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter, Snapchat, LinkedIn, TikTok, and other emerging platforms. Candidates should have hands‑on execution experience and a proven track record of developing audience‑first strategies.
Work Itself
Manage the marketing budget, reconciling payments and general ledger charges monthly and forecasting future expenditures with program managers.
Update marketing metrics scorecards each month.
Monitor rates displayed in Ally Bank digital advertising on a daily basis and manage the Ally Bank rate process.
Conduct monthly audits of Campaign Manager to ensure program managers follow approved processes for Brand, Legal and Compliance approvals for all materials.
Organize and coordinate marketing and creative governance processes, reconciling agency SOW usage quarterly.
Execute and manage all Purchase Orders and Purchase Requisitions for marketing programs.
Assist Marketing Managers in developing presentations.
Skills You Bring
Hands‑on execution of targeting tactics, including creating custom audiences, bid adjustments, and budget management using native social platform interfaces or marketing technology platforms.
Collect and analyze data, identify trends, and proactively communicate insights to ensure positive KPIs across lines of business.
Collaborate with internal and external partners to present learnings and maximize program value.
Support the digital marketing team with setup processes, checking ad serving, tracking parameters, and reporting capabilities.
Develop and maintain testing plans to maximize investment value and traffic; share insights with brand, media, and creative teams.
Continuously learn and enhance knowledge of online advertising, financial services, and competitive trends; share new developments with the team.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in marketing or a related field of study preferred.
3+ years of online paid social experience as a campaign analyst, media planner/buyer, account manager, or hybrid role.
Experience with ad tech such as ad servers, CRM, SEM tools, or paid marketing platforms.
Familiarity with analytics packages for last‑touch or multi‑touch attribution and the programmatic display/paid social landscape.
Proven ability to manage internal and external partner relationships.
Strong MS Excel skills, including formulas, functions, and pivot tables; Tableau and SQL are a plus.
Understanding of A/B and multivariate testing.
Familiarity with statistics and online advertising metrics.
Proficiency in MS Office suite (PowerPoint, Outlook, Word).
Positive, productive interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
