Responsibilities
Lead product experience design for rednote’s international products across key user journeys and digital touchpoints, translating business and user needs into intuitive, elegant, and high-quality experiences.
Design end-to-end flows, interaction models, and polished UI for app and web experiences, from concept exploration to launch-ready execution.
Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Research, and Brand teams to shape product direction early and ensure design quality throughout the development process.
Build, evolve, and apply scalable design systems, patterns, and guidelines to improve consistency, usability, and design efficiency across products and surfaces.
Act as a strong bridge to the product organization, helping align user experience decisions with product goals, technical constraints, and business priorities.
Improve critical product touchpoints through thoughtful interaction, visual design, and information architecture, ensuring a cohesive experience across the user lifecycle.
Use data, research, and product insight to identify opportunities, validate design decisions, and continuously raise the quality of the user experience.
Contribute to long-term design capability building by defining best practices, refining workflows, and elevating design standards across teams.
Qualifications
6+ years of experience in product design, UX/UI design, or interaction design for consumer-facing digital products.
Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design work, including user flows, interaction design, visual design, and shipped digital experiences.
Proven ability to design across app and web platforms with strong craft in both UX and UI.
Experience working cross-functionally with Product Managers, Engineers, Researchers, and other stakeholders in fast-paced product environments.
Strong understanding of design systems, component thinking, and scalable design principles.
Ability to balance user needs, business goals, and technical constraints to make sound product design decisions.
Strong communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to articulate rationale and influence partners across functions.
Experience in international products, multicultural markets, or fast-scaling platforms is a strong plus.
Job Information Locations: New York (3+ days / week in office policy)
Compensation Description (Annually): The base salary range for this position is $180000 - $250000 annually. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for a competitive equity package (RSUs), an annual performance bonus, and comprehensive benefits.
17 days PTO per year (above the statutory 12 days)
10 days paid sick leave per year (above the statutory 7 days)
Parental leave in accordance with state law (12 weeks in NY / 8 weeks in CA)
