About The Opportunity The Information Services (IS) Business Relationship Manager (BRM) serves as the primary strategic interface between IS and the Global Research & Development (R&D) organization. This role partners closely with R&D leaders and scientists to translate R&D strategic objectives into clear technology roadmaps, prioritized investment portfolios, and actionable initiatives. While grounded in strong IT and digital acumen, the BRM must collaborate effectively with PhD-level scientific leaders in genetics, breeding sciences, agronomy and research operations as a partner, consultant and liaison across organizations. This position is highly visible, requiring strong facilitation, storytelling, and consultative skills to align diverse stakeholders, guide informed tradeoffs, and ensure technology investments deliver measurable scientific and business outcomes. Over time, this BRM may expand to support additional domains such as Supply Chain, Commercial, or Finance, requiring a broad generalist mindset and enterprise perspective. This position will be based at Driscoll’s headquarters in Watsonville, CA, and is expected to work on site minimum 4 days per week.

Responsibilities

Serve as the principal Information Services partner to Global R&D business unit, as well as other global and Americas-based business units or functions.

Understand business unit strategy and priorities, understand as‑is business capabilities and processes, surface and shape technology requirements and opportunities, provide transparency regarding Information Services strategy and ways of working, and manage business unit expectations.

Collaborate with the business to build a pipeline of prioritized technology projects that advance business unit objectives in building competitive advantage and improving business effectiveness in accordance with company vision and mission.

Capture true business requirements for new or enhanced business unit capabilities, and oversee Business Systems Analyst effort to document detailed business requirements during “discovery” and “execution” phases of project lifecycle.

Effectively communicate decisions, priorities and project information with both business and IS stakeholders.

Work as a member of the IS Project Team to ensure technology solutions deliver the intended business outcomes.

Maintain and improve department standards, processes and templates.

Cultivate an evergreen knowledge of technology use in the industry, and suggest new solutions.

Proactively manage stakeholder expectations regarding opportunities, limitations, risks, and status of work in progress.

Follow Company policies and practices while representing Driscoll’s in an ethical and business‑like manner in all interactions with employees, governmental agencies, growers, customers, etc.

Collaborate with Application team to identify opportunities to scale or extend technology services to maximize investment, as well as to collaborate on plans to manage technology lifecycle (upgrades, EOL, etc.) that support DOC.

Candidate Profile

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or similar is required.

8+ years experience working as Business Relationship Manager, Technology Consultant, Business System Analyst or similar.

8+ years experience in Consumer Goods, Fast Moving Consumer Goods and/or Agriculture industry.

Strong business acumen/experience and deep IT knowledge.

Strong knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle NetSuite or SAP), Logistics Systems, Integrated Business Planning, Quality, Research and Development is desired.

Business Relationship Management Professional (BRMP) or Certified Business Relationship Manager (CBRM) certification preferred.

ITIL Foundation certification preferred.

Basic proficiency in Spanish is welcome but not required.

Compensation & Benefits Salary Range estimated for the IS Business Relationship Manager: $140,000 to $170,000 USD.
