Senior Producer, Social Media - Spectrum News 1

Responsibilities
Lead social media content projects, offering guidance, support, and feedback to Producers and Associate Producers within the Social Media team while contributing to a collaborative environment.
Plan, prepare, optimize, and publish YouTube content and livestreams while providing feedback and support to Producers and Associate Producers.
Plan, produce, edit, and publish high‑quality engaging content, including graphics and video, for social media platforms.
Communicate with internal stakeholders and collaborate with editorial teams to ensure that content aligns with overall brand voice.
Interact with Spectrum Networks talent in a professional manner.
Use editorial judgment and performance metrics to effectively post on social media platforms.
Participate in tracking and supporting the regular posting schedule of content and editorial pieces across key social media accounts, as directed.
Stay up to date on social media trends and best practices to ensure that content stays innovative and relevant.
Keep current with Spectrum’s News programming, talent, and brand and monitor performance metrics of social content.
Participate in editorial meetings, pitch suggestions for social media content and use news judgment to effectively prioritize when and how developing stories are presented across all social platforms.
Regularly review social metrics and adjust content to optimize to viewer interests.
Work with Associate Producers and Producers to create and maintain the highest degree of quality and ethical standards in presentation of material.
Required Skills, Abilities and Knowledge
Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere, Meta, TikTok, YouTube, X – including social media video editing tools.
Deep knowledge and experience in shooting social media video content on iPhone.
Proven ability to lead projects from concept ideation through posting and analytics.
Experience working with talent and/or content creators.
Expert knowledge of social media platforms.
Attention to detail.
Knowledge of current events and industry trends.
Demonstrated proficiency at multi‑tasking and must have ability to prioritize, work independently and meet strict deadlines.
Ability to work effectively within a team environment and communicate effectively with all personnel within the organization.
Effective writing and editing skills.
Pro‑active, self‑directed, enthusiastic in dealing with breaking news and high‑stress situations.
Familiarity with publishing workflows, including experience with a content management system.
Ability to tell engaging stories in the social media space through video assets, photos, graphics, etc.
Required Education Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, or a related field or comparable work experience.
Required Related Work Experience and Number of Years Relevant work experience - 3-5 years.
Preferred Qualifications
Supervisory or leadership experience - 1+
Working Conditions
Works primarily inside a climate‑controlled environment throughout the year but might be assigned field duties on occasion.
Ability to work various shifts, longer shifts, weekends and holidays, and be flexible with schedule changes due to "breaking news," sports coverage, and/or severe weather emergencies.
Physical Requirements May be required to lift up to 5 pounds.
Compensation The base pay for this position generally is between
$75,200.00 and $120,000.00 . The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive‑based compensation such as bonuses.
