
Digital Marketing Specialist
World Dairy Expo, Madison, WI, United States
Purpose
Under the direction of the Communications Manager, the Digital Marketing Specialist assists with the preparation, promotion and execution of World Dairy Expo, the meeting place of the global dairy industry. This position utilizes analytical skills, graphic design, writing and social media management tools to provide customer services to exhibitors, attendees, and global media professionals while amplifying the messaging and brand of World Dairy Expo.
Essential Responsibilities
Work out of the Madison, Wisconsin Office; remote work is not allowed.
Design graphic and show materials, including advertisements, cattle log covers, show summaries, and management reports.
Develop and implement a comprehensive digital marketing strategy.
Monitor activity on World Dairy Expo social media channels.
Oversee design and ordering of all World Dairy Expo signage.
Assist with the marketing plan, graphic elements, and post-show distribution of ExpoTV.
Create and distribute press releases in AP style.
Oversee the Media Room at World Dairy Expo and manage the intern team.
Administer and manage the website.
Collaborate on Expo Daily Edition and Official Program content creation and execution.
Assist with sponsorship deliverables and materials.
Participate in company surveys and compile results.
Organize and maintain World Dairy Expo’s image and video libraries.
Position Requirements
Comprehensive understanding of agriculture and the dairy industry, specifically dairy cattle shows and judging.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including familiarity with AP style.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suites with strong design skills.
Self‑motivated with strong organizational skills and creative, out‑of‑the‑box thinking.
Strong work ethic and willingness to complete tasks.
Exceptional organizational skills to facilitate collaboration across the organization and meet deadlines.
Understanding of various social media platforms utilized by World Dairy Expo.
Experience with data management and analysis is beneficial.
Educational Requirements Bachelor's Degree in dairy, agriculture, or communications related field and two years related experience. Three to five years experience preferred.
Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, walk significant distances, climb stairs, and work extended hours to meet business needs.
