Aquent is seeking a
User Experience Designer II
to support the design of a foundational internal desktop application. This position offers the opportunity to shape an evolving product that leverages large data sets, AI support, and proactive notifications to improve employee productivity.
Location: on-site in Seattle, WA
What You’ll Do
Create process flows, wireframes, and visual design mockups that clearly communicate detailed interaction behavior.
Partner with cross‑functional teams to define business and feature requirements using usability findings, research, analytics, and user‑centered design principles.
Assess and improve new and existing features through usability testing and interpretation of performance data.
Present design work to UX teams, product partners, and leadership for feedback and alignment.
Help contribute to design best practices and user interface standards.
Collaborate with technical teams in a fast‑paced environment to move ideas from concept to execution.
What You’ll Bring (Must Haves)
3 to 6 years of experience providing interaction design solutions for web‑based and/or software applications.
Strong experience creating mockups, flows, wireframes, and information architecture.
Knowledge of usability principles and user‑centered design methods.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with cross‑functional and technical teams.
A strong online portfolio that demonstrates relevant, user‑centered design work.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in design, human‑computer interaction, or equivalent professional experience.
Bonus Points (Nice to Haves)
Experience with user research and prototyping.
Experience designing for desktop applications, internal tools, or enterprise software.
Comfort presenting design rationale to a variety of audiences, including leadership.
Ability to manage multiple projects in an agile environment.
Previous experience in a large‑scale technology environment.
