Residential Foundation Designer

Description
Compensation will be determined based on location, skills, abilities, and experience. We are looking for a full-time Foundation Designer to join our team in Houston. The candidate must be proficient in AutoCAD and knowledgeable with both Post‑Tension and conventional (rebar) slab design. Prior structural design experience, ideally in the residential sector, is required. Please note that we are only able to consider candidates who do not require sponsorship for employment at this time. Position Overview
The Foundation Designer will prepare structural foundation plans for mainly residential structures using architectural drawings with limited to no supervision, read and interpret residential architectural blueprints, perform basic algebra and geometry, compute percentages, and add, subtract, multiply and divide as required. Requirements
3+ years of previous foundation design experience Proficient in AutoCAD Prepare structural foundation plans for mainly residential structures using architectural drawings with limited to no supervision Ability to read and interpret residential architectural blueprints Familiarity with PTI slab analysis software Concrete experience outside of Texas is a plus Familiarity with survey plans, plot plans and geotechnical reports Familiarity with building codes is a plus Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide to compute percentages, and to perform basic algebra and geometry Willingness to work long days and weekends as required A team-oriented, proactive and adaptable work ethic Work Schedule
Generally Monday – Friday day shift, however additional hours, including weekend hours, may be required in accordance with changing business needs. Benefits
