Your Role: What You'll Do As Director of Revenue and Financial Operations, you will oversee the organization's revenue cycle and financial operations, with approximately 65% of the role focused on behavioral health service billing and revenue cycle oversight. Accounting, audit, and related finance functions are outsourced; this role provides strategic direction, analysis, and vendor accountability.
Lead and oversee revenue cycle management, including billing, collections, and payer processes
Serve as the primary internal liaison to all outsourced financial service providers, including billing, accounting, audit, insurance, and related vendors; ensure performance, compliance, and accountability
Provide budget development, fiscal monitoring, and financial analysis to clinical and programmatic leaders in support of organizational goals
Oversee financial vendors and contracts, ensuring alignment with organizational standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices
Collaborate with clinical, programmatic, and performance teams to improve operational efficiency and financial outcomes
Supervise and support internal revenue and finance-related staff, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Apply healthcare regulatory and coding expertise to support accuracy, compliance, and sustainability—particularly in behavioral and mental health services
What You'll Bring To be successful in this role, candidates should bring a blend of technical expertise, leadership experience, and a commitment to mission-driven healthcare.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, finance, or a related field
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle management, medical billing, or related financial operations
At least three (3) years of leadership or supervisory experience
Strong working knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding, preferably with experience in behavioral or mental health services
Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external partners
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Proficiency with healthcare revenue cycle and financial software systems
