Broadcast Engineer

Optomi, in partnership with one of our clients is looking for a Media Engineer who will be tasked with transforming the capability and flexibility of content acquisition, production, and distribution on a global scale. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of both hardware and software technologies that power consumer-facing linear and digital video/audio content. *ONSITE (Thurs-Saturday) Responsibilities of the right candidate: Ensure efficient sustainment, uptime, and stability of technical environments. Troubleshoot and sustain IP-based broadcast equipment and cloud infrastructures. Create, read, and interpret AutoCAD and other technical documentation. Work on system integration projects and preventative engineering. Apply today if your background includes: 3+ years of relevant experience in live media production and distribution. Proficiency with microservices, DevOps tools, and design principles. Proficient in SMPTE standards and certifications. Foundational cloud certification (e.g., Azure, AWS). Knowledge of compression techniques like MPEG2/4, HEVC. Experience with Evertz software control systems. Ability to create and interpret AutoCAD drawings. Proven troubleshooting skills with IP-based broadcast equipment.
