Valco Melton is now seeking an experienced

Technical Sales Representative

to join the Sales team at our world headquarters in Cincinnati, OH.

The Technical Sales Representative will be responsible for account management and new business development in several key markets. In addition to new business development, the Technical Sales Representative will also provide support for the Sales and Technical Service teams, educating them on the solutions that Valco Melton has on offer for the aforementioned markets and providing detailed technical support for installation or troubleshooting when needed.

Regular travel, both domestic and international, will be required in this role. Although travel percentage may fluctuate,

approximately 50% travel

will be expected overall. When not travelling, the Technical Sales Representative will work from an office at the Valco Melton headquarters in Cincinnati.

Specific Responsibilities

Develop new business and manage existing accounts in assigned markets.

Research and identify potential customers for products and services.

Work with internal teams to develop complete solutions for customer and market needs.

Present new products and applications to customers and work with customers and partners to determine features, benefits, and ROI.

Work with sales network on projects requiring engineering and corporate support; train sales team on existing and new products tailored to assigned markets.

Provide technical support to customers and sales network with electrical/mechanical aptitude.

Implement corporate sales & marketing campaigns; attend trade show events when needed.

Required Experience / Capabilities

Strong, demonstrable technical sales ability or background, with 5+ years’ industry experience.

Proven experience selling to manufacturer-based companies.

Technical aptitude with electrical / mechanical equipment.

Technical education in an electrical or mechanical field (preferred)

Capable of efficient self-management with travel flexibility up to 50% of the month.

Working knowledge of Microsoft software and iOS devices.
