Overview
Our Warrenville, Illinois (IL) office is looking for a CADWorx Designer with 6+ years of experience to join our Natural Gas team.
Responsibilities
Create and complete PFDs and P&IDs from verbal directions, written descriptions, and mark‑ups provided
Apply fundamental piping principles, formulas, and industry practices to support design development and problem‑solving.
Building 3D facilities models from P&IDs
Review and interpret reports, drawings, test data, applicable codes, and specifications to ensure design requirements are met.
Plan and execute production drawings for routine and moderately complex assignments, including design layout, analysis, and supporting calculations.
Develop and produce piping drawings using standard methods and techniques, including layout, sequencing, component sizing, and refinement of preliminary sketches.
Incorporate design changes, redlines, and markups on active projects while maintaining accuracy and consistency.
Ensure all deliverables comply with company, client, and project drafting standards and are completed within budget, scope, and schedule
Qualifications
6 + years of relevant experience
High school diploma or equivalent (associates degree preferred)
Advanced knowledge and proficiency in CADWorx
Strong work ethic, interpersonal communication/writing skills and desire to learn
Ability to work independently and with a team
Willingness to mentor and teach others
Detail oriented, professional attitude, good communication, team player, self‑starter
