Assistant (Entertainment) We have an immediate opening for a high‑energy, culturally‑connected Assistant to join our Entertainment (Film + Television) team. This role is the essential foundation of our entertainment practice. We are looking for someone who has a clear understanding of the entertainment PR arena and a genuine passion for the business of storytelling.

The Role

Entertainment Industry Learning: Exhibit a relentless interest in soaking up the ins and outs of entertainment publicity. You will learn how integrated communications—from talent and social to media relations—drive successful launches and sustain long‑term brand equity.

Media Research and List Management: Own the lists. Build and maintain meticulous media lists across entertainment trades, national news, and lifestyle outlets. Ensure databases are accurate, current, and strategically categorized.

Cultural Intelligence: Act as the team’s radar. Monitor news cycles and social media to flag pop culture moments, competitor updates, and breaking industry news for our clients.

Administrative Foundation: Support the health of various accounts by managing backend essentials: developing agendas, meeting recaps, activity reports, and budget trackers.

Logistical Support: Provide critical support for client meetings and events, including scheduling, RSVP management, and occasionally on‑site staffing for premieres, screenings, and press junkets.

Professional Ambassadorship: Serve as key contact for guests and vendors, greeting visitors and managing light office duties (preparing conference rooms or the rooftop for meetings) with a professional, courteous, and inclusive demeanor.

Relationship Driven: Lead by example in treating co‑workers, partners, and media with trust and integrity in every interaction.

Who You Are

The Emerging Professional: Roughly 1 year of experience in marketing, entertainment, or PR, ready to exhibit the behaviors of a successful communications professional.

High EQ: Demonstrate emotional maturity, read the room, maintain calm demeanor under pressure, and communicate effectively with senior staff.

A Strong Writer: Fast, persuasive, detail‑oriented, able to take complex notes and turn them into concise, clear recaps, pitches, or industry trend reports.

Exceptionally Organized: Eagle eye for detail, manage multiple tasks simultaneously without losing focus on any detail.

Eager and Collaborative: Love brainstorming, inclusive of others, ready to build network within the entertainment industry.

Driven to Over‑Deliver: Take pride in work and willing to work select evenings and weekends when needed.

$40,000 - $40,000 a year

This role is nonexempt and eligible for overtime.
