Civil Estimator

The ideal candidate will play a key role in driving the success of heavy civil and site development projects throughout Southwest Florida. This position is responsible for evaluating project costs, identifying risk, and developing accurate, competitive bids. You’ll work closely with project managers and field teams during preconstruction and have a direct impact on winning new work.
Responsibilities
Maintain knowledge of competitive advantages, market conditions, and construction methods to support the bidding process Prepare detailed cost estimates and complete bid packages for heavy civil and site development projects Perform quantity takeoffs from civil plans and specifications Resolve cost discrepancies by collecting, reviewing, and analyzing project information Obtain accurate pricing for labor, equipment, materials, subcontractors, and trucking Analyze production rates, construction methods, and sequencing Review plans, specifications, and bid documents to identify scope gaps and potential risks Partner with project managers and field leadership during preconstruction Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent estimating experience 3+ years of estimating experience in heavy civil and/or site development Agtek or HeavyBid experience required Strong ability to read and interpret civil plans, blueprints, and bid packages Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Experience with earthwork, underground utilities, roadways, and site infrastructure preferred Local to Southwest Florida or planning to relocate
