
Product Manager - Commercial Lines

Responsibilities
Develops and manages commercial lines of business by performing rate and product analysis, monitoring profitability to achieve approved targets.
Provides product support and training to multiple areas of the organization.
Identifies and advises management on product and pricing issues when necessary.
Prepares and responds to filings, other regulatory inquiries and communications with the State Insurance Department and Rating Bureaus.
Assists in developing new products and product enhancements.
Analyzes products for efficiencies, appropriateness, serviceability, cost containment, and statute conformity.
Ensures adequate pricing of products.
Assists with statistical research, data manipulation, project modeling and report generation.
Assists with quality control, user access, user understanding, and usefulness of department reports.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience with property and casualty insurance knowledge. Other desired coursework may include mathematics, statistics, computing, finance, or other analytical topics.
3 years’ experience in the insurance industry.
Familiar with insurance products and regulations.
Ability making sound decisions and substantiate these decisions.
Effective utilization of computer systems including company and industry related software for essential job functions.
Continuing effort and desire to increase knowledge through applicable training, designations, and/or certificate programs.
