Position Summary

The Customer Executive is responsible for strategic and tactical annual and trimester planning with Customer Planning Managers and Customer Planning Analysts. Sells to Small Format Customers at the buying level, ensuring profitable sales growth of assigned major chain account(s) at the field level. This position also communicates customer plans and results internally and externally, overseeing Customer field-level penetration and selling.

Key Job Responsibilities Externally

Establish trusted partnership with key decision makers across appropriate functional groups at all customers to advance BBU Brands share growth.

Identify opportunities for growth via internal and external data and partner with customers to develop action plans.

Time in market cultivating Mid-Level Relationships with store operations to grow BBU Brand share.

Share category consumer insights with key decision makers at all customers to advance BBU Brands.

Execute programming communication with key decision makers at all customers.

Gain display authorization and secondary display support for all new products, sales programs, seasonal support, etc.

Maintain and regularly update analysis of key competitors’ activities and their impact on BBU categories on a market-by-market basis.

Leverage market relationships to stay informed about Customer competitive landscape – predominantly food, but total box and e-commerce as well.

Key Job Responsibilities Internally

Partner with Sales Planning, Category Management, and Consumer Insights teams to develop plans that drive volume, sales, profit, and share for BBU Brands.

Partner with Sales Operations, Order Forecasting, and Logistics Teams to ensure executional excellence for BBU Brands.

Develop and publish regular scorecarding for execution.

Learn and educate BBU DSD teams specific to continuing advancement of various e-commerce programs.

Understands and can effectively communicate Category Management principles.

Education And Work History Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Marketing or Business‑related field preferred. A combination of education, training and experience that results in demonstrated competency to perform the work may be substituted.

Ideal Candidate Will Possess

5 or more years’ consumer product account experience.

Direct customer leadership experience.

Excellent presentation and written/oral communication skills, as well as the ability to effectively negotiate and influence others.

Excellent organizational, analytical, and planning skills.

Computer skills and proficiency, specifically PowerPoint, Excel, and Word are required, as well as high proficiency with Margin Minder.

Travel is required: >50 %.

Physical Demands

Able to use a variety of communication methods on frequent basis.

Use a notebook computer and standard office equipment (printers, fax, phone, etc.).

Able to sit, stand, stoop and have use of hand motor coordination regularly.

Use various forms of transportation for extended periods of time on periodic basis.
