The
Market Development Manager, Capillary Electrophoresis (CE)
is responsible for developing and executing demand generation campaigns and commercial strategy to support the growth of the CE hardware and consumables business in the Americas. As the successful candidate, you must have a strong scientific and business understanding of the CE market and be networked within the associated communities. You will act as a business owner, analyse key performance indicators, integrate them with your broader market knowledge, and arrive at impactful conclusions that explain SCIEX’s position in the CE Market and provide strategic guidance to support commercial success. You will also play a critical role in supporting the Americas CE sales team by aligning market development activities with regional sales objectives, translating market insights into actionable commercial direction, enabling funnel health through proactive collaboration, and equipping the sales organization with the strategic messaging, competitive intelligence, and customer‑driven value propositions necessary to accelerate opportunity creation and conversion.
This position reports to the Americas Senior Director, Marketing & Business Development and is part of the Americas commercial organization located in the United States and will be fully remote.
In This Role
Conceive and support the execution of creative, measurable, multi-channel marketing programs that address the customer’s buying journey and SCIEX commercial objectives
Drive the success of regional trade shows through the creation of market-driven, strategic messaging specific to each event, and be responsible for achieving demand generation targets
Consolidate key performance indicators, competitor strategies and market trends into concise, contextualized, action-focused summaries for commercial leadership
Support the Americas CE sales team through trusted, open communication regarding funnel health, commercial objectives and global/regional strategic direction
Identify and leverage effective story‑telling opportunities to increase SCIEX visibility and market‑share
Essential Requirements
University degree in a relevant scientific (e.g. Chemistry, Biology, Pharmaceutical Science) or business (e.g. Marketing) field or equivalent work experience in relevant markets
5+ years working in one or more relevant markets in a sales, marketing, product management, technical or scientific role, including advanced technical and workflow experience with capillary electrophoresis
Experience managing projects from inception to completion, achieving landmarks through strong leadership and collaboration with cross‑functional teams
Understanding and been in a team to translate strategic direction into commercial action using data‑driven approaches
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements
Ability to travel and be customer facing 40% of the time within Canada, United States and Latin America
Preferred Experience
Market research that informs business strategy, and / or direct customer insights research
Advanced use of contact relationship management (CRM) software (e.g. Salesforce)
Advanced university degree is preferred

The salary range for this role is $120,000 - $127,000 USD, and this job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
