Position Overview
A signatory contractor is seeking an experienced
Union Commercial Roofing Foreman . This position is responsible for supervising union roofing crews, coordinating daily job site activities, maintaining productivity, enforcing safety requirements, and ensuring all work meets union standards, manufacturer specifications, and project requirements. The role is represented by
Roofers & Waterproofers Local 69 .
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and lead union commercial roofing crews on active job sites
Coordinate daily work assignments in accordance with Local 69 work rules
Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and work orders
Ensure quality workmanship and compliance with manufacturer specifications
Enforce OSHA regulations and Local 69 safety standards
Assign tasks, monitor progress, and manage production goals
Train, guide, and support apprentices and crew members
Communicate effectively with project managers, general contractors, and inspectors
Track labor hours, materials, and job progress
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site at all times
Required Qualifications
Minimum 3–5 years of commercial roofing experience
Experience with TPO, EPDM, PVC
Previous foreman or crew leadership experience preferred
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
Knowledge of commercial roofing systems and installation methods
Ability to work at heights and in varying weather conditions
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification
Experience managing larger commercial or industrial projects
Ability to complete daily reports and job documentation
