About the Position
Branding the Orange County Registrar of Voters’ effort to serve the community, the Customer Service Representative – Bilingual Vietnamese Vote Center / Election Representative (Extra Help) will be stationed at Vote Center locations throughout Orange County for the 2026 Statewide Primary Election.
The role requires a 2‑day training in mid‑March and approximately 7 days of service between May 27, 2026, and June 3, 2026, with the possibility of overtime during evenings and weekends.
Job Duties
Process and assist voters at Vote Center locations.
Issue ballots to eligible voters.
Accept Vote‑by‑Mail ballots and complete related paperwork.
Perform other election‑related tasks as assigned.
Regions & Locations The Orange County Registrar of Voters has divided Vote Center locations into five regions.
When selected, you may be assigned to any Vote Center within your region based on operational needs.
Central Orange County:
Anaheim, North Tustin, Orange, Santa Ana, Tustin, Villa Park
South Orange County:
Aliso Viejo, Dana Point, Ladera Ranch, Laguna Hills, Laguna Niguel, Lake Forest, Mission Viejo, Rancho Santa Margarita, San Clemente, San Juan Capistrano, Silverado Canyon, Trabuco Canyon
West Orange County:
Cypress, Fountain Valley, Garden Grove, Huntington Beach, Los Alamitos, Seal Beach, Stanton, Westminster
North Orange County:
Brea, Buena Park, Fullerton, La Habra, La Palma, Placentia, Yorba Linda
Coast Orange County:
Costa Mesa, Irvine, Laguna Beach, Laguna Woods, Newport Beach
Desired Qualifications
Commit to approximately 10 days over a two‑month period, including remote and in‑person training.
Work the specified 4‑day schedule during the election period:
Setup days: either Wednesday, May 27, 2026; Thursday, May 28, 2026; or Friday, May 29, 2026.
Voting days: Saturday, May 30 to Tuesday, June 2, 2026.
Take‑down day: Wednesday, June 3, 2026.
Ability to work overtime, evenings, and weekends as required.
Patience and professionalism when interacting with a diverse voter base.
Clear verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient in English and Vietnamese (bilingual). Speaking and reading English required.
Computer literate: comfortable operating a laptop and using a database.
Self‑motivated, organized, and able to manage time under high workload.
Attention to detail and work in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
Professional appearance and demeanor while representing the department.
Ability to deliver supplies daily to designated locations if required.
Strong customer‑service orientation, handling public inquiries effectively.
Ability to read, interpret, and follow oral and written instructions.

Physical Conditions:
Adequate vision for reading printed text and computer screens; ability to stand, sit, walk, stoop, bend, and perform repetitive keyboard tasks.

Environmental Conditions:
Work in an office setting and manage competing priorities and deadlines.
