
Mid-Level Associate Attorney - Commercial Real Estate

BUPD is currently seeking an associate with 5+ years of experience to join our growing firm full-time. Qualified candidates will have experience with negotiating operating agreements, loan documents, representing lenders on real estate loans, preparing condominium documents and construction agreements preferably with representative institutional clients.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
Juris Doctorate (J.D.) is required, licensed in Illinois and in good standing with the Illinois Bar.
5+ years of experience as a commercial real estate attorney in a large law firm setting preferred.
Thorough understanding of the complexities involved in commercial real estate transactions.
Experience representing institutional lenders in complex real estate finance transactions, including drafting and negotiating loan documents.
Superior writing and analytical skills.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
Strong organizational and client management skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and the ability to learn new software programs.
Ability to work professionally and effectively with clients, partners, associates and support staff.
Salary range starts at $200,000 per year plus comprehensive benefits. Actual salary will be commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and relevant experience.
