Relationship Associate Fiduciary Trust International is hiring a

Relationship Associate

to join our New York City office. The Relationship Associate partners with the firm’s Client Service Team, which is comprised of Trust Officers, Portfolio Managers and Relationship Managers, in managing the wealth and financial needs of our High-Net-Worth (HNW) clients. The role requires regular interaction with HNW clients and follow‑up and management of ongoing client deliverables. As our Associates gain more experience, they take on greater responsibility on smaller client relationships so that Portfolio Managers, Trust Officers, and Relationship Managers can focus on larger and more complex client relationships.

How You Will Add Value

You will work with our Trust Officers and Relationship Managers on High Net Worth family relationships, including account administration, preparing wealth projections, preparation of cash flows, fee reviews, and preparation of PowerPoint presentations for client meetings.

You will review trust documents and ensure transactions are in compliance with the trust agreement.

You will review daily overdraft report to determine how to cure income overdrafts and coordinate with Portfolio Manager to raise cash.

You will initiate wire transfers, discretionary principal payments, currency transactions, bill paying, and gifts and contributions.

You will coordinate trust terminations and account closing in coordination with Trust Counsel and tax department.

You will analyze relevant documents to begin Know Your Customer (KYC) processes and review account openings with Relationship Manager to determine proper administration of accounts.

You will work closely with Trust Officers to establish and maintain client contact and act as a key point of contact for clients and intermediaries.

What Will Help You Be Successful In This Role

2–5 years’ experience in financial services with

client-facing experience

preferred

Trust Administration background and knowledge

highly preferred; ability to review and interpret trust language a plus

Desire to grow within the field of trust administration and wealth management generally

Basic knowledge of competitors desired

Experience using SEI or other accounting software desired

Skilled in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines

Ability to work in a team-oriented environment

Effective interpersonal skills and relationship building skills

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle information with discretion

Strong oral and written communication skills

Ability to work from our NYC office a

minimum of three days per week

We expect the base salary for this position to range between $75,000 - $85,000, depending on level of relevant experience, plus bonus.
