Job Title: Social Media Content Creator & Community Manager

Primary Purpose:

We are looking for a social media expert to join the Kate Spade New York communications team who loves fashion, data and creating content.

Responsibilities Social Media Strategy & Content Creation

- Focus on strategizing, planning and creating content for Kate Spade New York's social channels, prioritizing TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and Pinterest. Proficient in Facebook, Snapchat and Twitter, ensuring that the brand values and voice come through in content and storytelling across all platforms.

Community Management

- Grow the Kate Spade New York community through compelling content and engagement around marketing messages that align with company-wide initiatives.

Planning & Management

- Plan, curate, and schedule daily posts across all platforms with a focus on Instagram and TikTok. Manage day-to-day social listening and engage daily with the ksny online community, tapping into culture to stay relevant to Gen Z. Create weekly and monthly editorial calendars aligned with main marketing messages. Collaborate with PR, Influencer Marketing, and broader marketing teams on branding initiatives, campaigns for new launches, events, and partnerships. Monitor industry trends, competitive insights, and emerging platforms; provide recommendations. Manage and track social media budget for agency fees, publishing and analytics tools with the Senior Director.

Content Creation & Curation

- Produce compelling content (emphasis on video) for IG stories, IG Reels, TikToks, Pins, etc. Align with creative to facilitate social-specific asset requests through internal teams, content creators, and influencers. Conceptualize and lead programs across platforms to engage audiences.

Reporting & Analytics

- Own weekly, monthly, and ad hoc social reporting in partnership with our listening platform. Use data to influence future marketing decisions and measure campaign effectiveness.

Team Structure, Resources & Support

- Social Media is a key business priority. The role is supported by an in-house team and a full-service agency. The Social Media Manager reports to a Senior Director and collaborates with Public Relations, Influencer Marketing, Creative, Marketing, Licensing, Sales, Customer Experience, Ecommerce, Legal and Product Development teams. Externally, a dedicated agency team supports strategy, budgeting, content creation, publishing, proactive community management, analytics and reporting.

Must be creative with demonstrated content creation skills and ability to develop thumb-stopping, needle-moving social content

Agility to adapt to changing trends and evolving business needs

Deep understanding of social media analytics and using data to drive strategy and business impact

Stay current on trends relevant to the brand and Gen Z

An outstanding professional will have

Bachelor's Degree preferred

7-9 years of relevant working experience

Base Pay Range

$85,000.00-$104,250.00
