POSITION SUMMARY This role serves as a strategic and operational lead for Marketing across existing and emerging sports, responsible for defining how the brand shows up across each category while managing a team that executes partnerships, ambassador programs, and activations. In close partnership with the Head of Brand and Head of Digital, this position translates overarching brand direction into category specific strategies, owning the development of marketing plans that drive both cultural relevance and business impact. This individual determines where the brand invests across communities, events, and partnerships, ensuring a cohesive and effective presence across all sports verticals.
In addition to strategic ownership, the role manages a cross-functional team responsible for day-to-day partnerships and execution, setting priorities, establishing processes, and ensuring accountability across company wide initiatives. The position oversees the structure and performance of ambassador and affiliate programs, guides the execution of key partnerships and activations such as Perfect Game and other high-visibility opportunities, and helps assess new brand collaborations. This person is also a key partner to Sports Marketing and plays a central role in integrating athletes into the strategy - product launches, aligning ambassadors, media, and messaging to ensure each launch is embedded authentically within sport.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Brand Strategy Define how each category shows up across the different sports (and channels) Translate founder's long term brand vision into sport specific plans to execute against
Messaging & Brand Alignment Maintain sport specific messaging frameworks Ensure consistency across all outward facing communications Partner with Head of Brand on long term positioning and evolution
Team and Function Leadership Manage and develop a team overseeing partnerships & activations Ensure alignment across all cross functional marketing initiatives: set priorities, define processes and workflows, and set performance expectations
Product Launch Integration Drive culturally relevant timing and storytelling Ensure ambassadors/athletes, partnerships, & media are aligned Oversee strategy, structure, and execution of program to meet business objectives
Partnerships & Activations Own and guide execution of key partnerships Oversee event activations and associated brand presence strategy Support development of new collaboration opportunities
Reporting & Performance Turn insights into optimizations and strategic recommendations
ABOUT YOU 8+ years of experience in marketing leadership with brand building experience Enjoys a fast paced work environment Proven success leading integrated, results-driven marketing campaigns Skilled in cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder alignment Experience managing and tracking budgets Creative problem-solver with attention to detail Confident giving feedback and guiding teams Comfortable in fast-paced, dynamic environments Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (strongly preferred)
