Organization Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Spa

Summary The Head Golf Professional oversees the daily golf operations of the Golf Shop, outside services and tournament functions. This Professional should demonstrate experience of excellent human and public relations skills. This person will act on behalf of the Director of Golf when absent.

Responsibilities

Assist the Director of Golf in the recruitment, hiring, training and supervision of all golf staff

Maintain a neat and orderly office area and surrounding work area

Control and manage play: ensure guest check-in and fee collection in coordination with the starter

Assist the Director of Golf in the preparation of budgets, including forecasting and review of all golf revenues and expenses on a daily, weekly, monthly, and annual basis

Assist the Director of Golf in buying apparel, equipment, and accessories. Periodic checks to maintain adequate levels of merchandise inventories

Assist the Visual Stylist on displays and presentation of the pro shop

Advise the Director of Golf of course conditions if a change is noticed

Supervise and approve all weekly payroll, timesheets, purchase orders and invoices

Assist in the publication of newsletters, informational and promotional materials

Represent Hyatt in a professional and courteous manner at all times

Implementation of policies and procedures and regular scheduling of staff meetings

Oversee the rental and maintenance of golf cars

Track and verify all players and guests, golf cars, club care, lockers, handicap fees, and other charges necessary, and facilitate control

Oversee the administration of the handicap program

Compile information from market competition for comparison studies to properly position the facility in the marketplace

Enforce all rules and regulations governing golf course usage

Maintain close working relationship with the Director of Golf, Course Superintendent and other department heads of the hotel

Assist in the marketing and promotion of new memberships and play

Oversee the club repair business

Supervise the Tournament Coordinator – First Assistant with tournaments from planning phases, coordinating proper tee sheets, tournament day and follow up

Review tee sheets on a daily basis to ensure complete time utilization, maximize course usage and review daily staff schedule to ensure we have ample coverage

Responsible for the weekly scheduling of golf employees, not to include golf maintenance

Act on behalf of the Director of Golf in the case of his or her absence

Maintain cleanliness of hotel and golf area to include course, staging area, cart barn, pro shop and parking lot

Each associate is expected to carry out all reasonable requests by management, which the associate is capable of performing

Toptracer & Instruction

Provide individual and group golf instruction utilizing Toptracer technology

Analyze swing data and performance metrics to deliver clear, actionable coaching

Demonstrate proper golf techniques, drills, and Toptracer gameplay features

Create a positive, encouraging learning environment for players of all ages and abilities

Promote lesson programs, clinics, and Toptracer instructional offerings

Ensure all safety guidelines are followed during instruction and practice sessions

Maintain clean, organized instructional spaces and equipment

Assist guests in understanding Toptracer practice modes and gameplay features

Collaborate with Golf Operations and Toptracer teams to enhance programming and guest engagement

Qualifications

Service oriented with task management and organizational skills

Previous Head Golf Professional experience is preferred

Toptracer experience preferred

Goal oriented ideas to motivate staff members

Outgoing personality and genuine interest in golfers and their pursuit of the game

Computer and accounting skills

Shall have a high degree of administrative ability in terms of problem solving and decision making
