Description
The Summer Camp Director is responsible for creating, organizing, and overseeing a dynamic summer camp program that aligns with the mission of the Christian Academy of Knoxville. This individual will lead the planning and execution of engaging, Christ-centered activities that foster spiritual growth, build community, and provide a safe and fun environment for children.
Requirements Program Development and Leadership
Design and implement a comprehensive summer camp program for children of various ages.
Develop Christ-centered programming that integrates biblical principles into all camp activities.
Coordinate and oversee a wide range of activities, including sports, arts and crafts, worship, and team-building exercises.
Staff Recruitment and Management
Recruit, hire, and train camp counselors and support staff.
Provide leadership and mentorship to the camp team, ensuring alignment with CAK’s mission and values.
Develop schedules and assign roles to ensure smooth operations and coverage for all activities.
Safety and Supervision
Maintain open communication with parents, providing updates on camp activities and addressing concerns promptly.
Respond to emergencies and resolve conflicts professionally and effectively.
Spiritual Leadership
Act as a spiritual leader for campers and staff, encouraging personal and collective growth in their faith journeys.
Provide a welcoming, Christ-centered environment for all participants.
A love for the Lord; support the mission of CAK and possess a sincere desire to serve all those associated with CAK.
