
Carrier Relationship Manager

What You’ll Be Doing
The Carrier Relationship Manager partners with key insurance carriers to increase wholesaler effectiveness and activity, enhance and improve alignment with Stifel initiatives, and support joint marketing and sales activities. This role exists to deepen carrier engagement, strengthen collaboration, and drive measurable growth at the carrier level. What We’re Looking For
Develop and execute annual business plans with each carrier relationship, including wholesaler activity goals, marketing strategies, relationship‑building activities, and sales targets. Partner closely with the carrier’s Relationship Manager, Marketing Team, and Sales Managers to ensure strong advocacy for Stifel throughout their organization. Monitor and ensure carrier compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements. Serve as the central point of contact between carriers and Stifel, coordinating communication and partnerships across teams. Collaborate with carriers to resolve issues effectively and in a timely manner. Contribute to special projects and initiatives as needed. What You’ll Bring
Demonstrated experience developing and executing business plans, preferably within insurance, annuities, or financial services. Strong relationship management skills, with the ability to partner effectively with external carrier representatives and internal teams. Solid understanding of marketing strategies, sales processes, and wholesaler engagement. Knowledge of regulatory requirements relevant to insurance and annuity products, with the ability to monitor and ensure carrier compliance. Proven ability to serve as a central communication hub, coordinating cross‑functional efforts and maintaining aligned messaging across teams. Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to resolve carrier or operational issues accurately and in a timely manner. Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and contribute to special projects as needed. Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills. Education & Experience
Minimum Required: Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent experience. Minimum Required: 5+ years of experience in insurance, annuities, or related financial services. Licenses & Credentials
Minimum Required: Active Life and Health license. Minimum Required: Series 7 and Series 66, or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire. Preferred: Professional designations such as CLU or similar credentials. Systems & Technology
