Senior Content Strategist
OneTrust’s mission is to enable innovation through the responsible use of data and AI. Our goal is to accelerate what’s possible by ensuring data is trusted, not slowed, using the AI‑Ready Governance Platform™ to unify regulatory intelligence, automation, and connected governance workflows.
Your Mission
Partner closely with UX, Product, Engineering, and Research to understand user needs, mental models, and business goals, translating them into clear, consistent, and scalable content decisions across the product.
Own and evolve in‑product content strategy, including voice and tone, terminology, information hierarchy, and content patterns that support usability, trust, and comprehension across workflows, modules, and platforms.
Design and deliver UX copy and product content that is concise, accurate, accessible, and aligned with branding, accessibility standards, and evolving InfoSec and privacy requirements.
Serve as a subject‑matter expert in assigned domains, enabling the creation of content that helps users confidently navigate complex technical, security, and compliance concepts.
Use research‑driven methods (including usability testing, content testing, and evaluative research) to validate content decisions and advocate for improvements based on evidence rather than opinion.
Develop and apply content measurement strategies to assess content effectiveness using metrics such as task success, error reduction, comprehension, and more.
Continuously optimize content through audits and workflow reviews, identifying gaps, inconsistencies, and opportunities to improve the end‑to‑end customer journey.
Contribute to and help govern content standards and design‑system guidance, ensuring consistency, accessibility, and scalability across teams and products.
Advocate for content design and strategy best practices, helping stakeholders understand the role of content in usability, decision‑making, and product quality.
Collaborate with fellow content strategists to share patterns, templates, and learnings, raising overall quality and maturity of the organization’s content practice.
Qualities & Qualifications
5+ years of experience in content strategy, content design, and UX writing for digital products, with demonstrated ownership of end‑to‑end content decisions.

Demonstrated experience researching complex domains and partnering closely with designers, product managers, engineers, and researchers to shape content as part of the overall UX.
Proven ability to work within and contribute to established design systems and content standards, driving consistency, scalability, and quality across products.
Experience designing scalable content strategies that account for customer organizations of varying sizes, goals, and maturity levels, tailoring content accordingly.
Strong stakeholder management skills, synthesizing diverse inputs and leading content discussions with clarity, authority, and tact.
Comfort operating in ambiguous, fast‑moving environments, managing multiple workstreams, balancing competing priorities, and making pragmatic tradeoffs aligned with product timelines.
Experience thoughtfully leveraging AI‑enabled tools within the content and design process while maintaining critical focus on accuracy, privacy, and responsible use.
Continuous learning mindset, seeking feedback, research insights, and emerging practices to refine content strategy and raise overall content quality.
A portfolio demonstrating strategic content thinking and UX writing, including examples that show problem framing, rationale, and impact—not just final copy.
Experience working in InfoSec, privacy, or other highly regulated industries is a strong plus.
Experience delivering content for a global, multilingual, or distributed audience is a plus (localization, accessibility, cultural considerations).
Compensation Salary Range: $88,875—$133,312.50 USD (for candidates in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, and Washington).
