Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site position for a Page Designer and News Assistant located in Westerly, RI. The Page Designer will be working alongside the editorial team to create visually compelling and effective newspaper page layouts, managing community calendar, manage photos in paper and online, and manage news briefs. This role requires collaboration with editorial teams to ensure content is delivered in an appealing and reader-friendly format while adhering to brand guidelines and production deadlines. Qualifications
Experience in Page Layout and Newspaper Design Experience with of InDesign and Adobe Suite Experience with Google Drive and BLOX CMS System Strong attention to detail and creativity in visual design AP writing is a plus Ability to meet tight deadlines and work collaboratively with editorial teams Organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects Experience in the publishing or media industry is a plus Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related field preferred
