SEO Strategist
We're looking for a sharp, performance-obsessed SEO Strategist to join our growing team. In this role, you'll own SEO strategy for a portfolio of large and enterprise-sized clients—driving organic growth, leading client relationships, and pushing the boundaries of what search can do. If you think beyond keywords and rankings and into the full user journey, CRO, and data storytelling, this is your seat at the table.
Compensation $85,000 – $95,000 base salary depending on experience, with annual compensation reviews based on performance. Potential semi‑annual bonus based on company and individual performance.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Client Management | Assess and formulate advanced SEO strategies for large to enterprise‑size clients, serving as a leading SEO authority both internally and externally. Oversee a substantial client portfolio as the primary point of contact across accounts.
Performance‑Focused SEO | Think innovatively to conceptualize and implement strategies that enhance clients' organic rankings through comprehensive on‑site and off‑site optimizations and testing recommendations, including:
AI Search strategies
Organic Reddit and YouTube optimization
Technical SEO
On‑page optimizations
Content production and planning
Link building
Website UX/UI best practices
CRO & CRM Strategy | Drive impact beyond pure‑play SEO by maximizing the value of every session and user. Analyze behavioral data to devise on‑site CRO and CRM UX and messaging strategies that generate incremental performance gains.
Data‑Driven Execution | Host client status calls and meticulously track and report on campaign results, SEO activities, and data analysis. Leverage Google Analytics and ranking tools to measure strategy effectiveness, while staying ahead of search engine updates and algorithmic shifts.
Client Satisfaction & Sales Collaboration | Ensure timely deliverables and consistently exceed client expectations. Partner with the sales team on audits, custom strategy development, pitches, and sales decks—while enhancing SEO sales collateral and pitch materials.
Process Enhancement & Knowledge Sharing | Develop and improve team processes, reporting frameworks, knowledge bases, and communication practices. Stay current with the latest SEO platforms and tools, championing relevant innovations across the team.
What We're Looking For
4–6 years of SEO agency experience with a proven track record of success
Strong understanding of search engine algorithms, updates, and their business impact
Demonstrated experience analyzing data to set and implement performance‑driving SEO strategies—repeatedly and at scale
Expert‑level proficiency across tools including: Search Console, Google Analytics, Screaming Frog, SEMrush, Google Ads, Moz, ContentKing, VWO/Optimizely, Shopify, Klaviyo/Braze/Salesforce, and/or related platforms
Strong working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and website design principles
Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
Self‑starter mentality with an eagerness to consistently meet and exceed objectives and take on greater responsibility
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Strong ability to prioritize, multitask, and manage time efficiently in a fast‑paced environment
Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively to meet client goals
Genuine passion for the world of SEO
Benefits
Regular performance reviews with quarterly growth path check‑ins
Comprehensive health, dental, vision, and mental health benefits (One Medical, Talkspace, KindBody, Health Advocate)
15–24 days PTO/year depending on seniority, plus birthday off, 7 sick/safe days, and up to 12 weeks paid parental leave
