
Senior Interior Designer

We are partnering with a leading, design-forward organization in the Miami/Doral market to identify a Technical Interior Designer with a strong background in high‑end millwork, cabinetry, and interior architectural detailing. This individual will play a critical role in bridging design intent with technical execution, ensuring projects are delivered with precision, efficiency, and exceptional quality.

Key Responsibilities
Translate conceptual designs into detailed technical drawings and construction documents for production and installation
Develop and review shop drawings for custom millwork, cabinetry, and interior components
Collaborate closely with internal design, engineering, and production teams to ensure feasibility and alignment with project goals
Specify and detail materials including wood, veneers, laminates, glass, metal, and specialty finishes
Ensure all drawings and specifications meet industry standards, manufacturing capabilities, and client expectations
Coordinate with vendors, fabricators, and installers to address technical challenges and ensure seamless execution
Participate in project meetings, offering technical insight and solutions to design and production challenges
Maintain accuracy, organization, and version control across all project documentation
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
5+ years of experience in
t echnical interior design, with a strong emphasis on millwork/cabinetry
Proven experience producing detailed construction documents and shop drawings
Deep understanding of materials and fabrication processes, particularly woodworking, cabinetry systems, glass, and metal integration
Proficiency in design and drafting software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar tools
Strong knowledge of industry standards, detailing practices, and installation methods
Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications
Highly detail-oriented with strong problem‑solving and organizational skills
Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate cross‑functionally
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working on high‑end residential, multifamily, or luxury commercial interiors
Familiarity with manufacturing or production environments related to millwork or cabinetry
Exposure to CNC processes, fabrication workflows, or custom production techniques
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
