The Video Editor brings those stories to life by producing dynamic, high-quality video content that connects fans to both the Sacramento River Cats and the Athletics, with large emphasis on the Athletics brand during their time in Sacramento.
From gameday highlights and hype videos to social content and in-ballpark entertainment, this role is responsible for capturing, editing, and delivering compelling visuals across platforms. Working as part of the Marketing team, the Video Editor helps showcase the excitement of baseball at Sutter Health Park, elevating the fan experience and strengthening the team’s brand presence year-round.
Key Responsibilities
Shoot, edit and finalize video content for in-game entertainment, advertisements, social media and various brand initiatives or product launches while optimizing video content for different platforms
Video coverage during games, special events and player specific projects
Manage and log all video from shoots
Transport, set up, and operate various production equipment including cameras, audio recorders, lighting equipment and microphones for location and studio production
Stay up to date with changes in videography including camera technology, related hardware and software
Work collaboratively across multiple departments to ensure quality, consistency and creative flow of the organizational goals
Assist with other special projects, as needed
Additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum 1-2 years experience in live and pre-production shoots
Experience shooting live sports
Must have good communication and excellent storytelling/copywriting/copyediting skills
Proficiency with camera equipment, lighting, audio, etc.
Knowledge of Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects
Must be able to produce high-quality output while meeting specific deadlines sometimes under specific time constraints.
Highly organized and self-directed with strong ability to prioritize.
Must be able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays.
Compensation This position is a full-time role with a base rate of $18/hr - $22/hr. Final offers for this role will be made within the parameters of the salary range provided. In addition to compensation, employees can enjoy the following perks:
